On 6 May 2026, National Defense University (NDU) hosted a delegation from the NATO Defense College’s Senior Officer Course for discussions on U.S. national defense priorities and the evolving global security environment.
NDU President VADM Peter Garvin welcomed NDC Dean Dr. Suzanne Nielsen and BG Ferenc Molnar, Academic Chief at the NATO Defense College.
Faculty and fellows from the Institute for National Strategic Studies facilitated panel discussions alongside colleagues from across NDU on U.S. national defense strategy and its implications for NATO and Europe, U.S. policy in the Indo-Pacific, and recent developments in the Middle East and their impact on regional stability and allied partnerships.
The discussions brought together experts from the College of International Security Affairs, Eisenhower School, National War College, and the Near East South Asia Center for Strategic Studies.
The visit highlighted continued dialogue between U.S. and NATO defense education and research institutions in support of NDU’s mission to educate for warfighting advantage to win in competition, crisis, and conflict.
