Mr. Todd Pennington (third from left), Senior Research Fellow for Space Strategy and Policy at the Institute for Strategic Studies' Center for Strategic Research, moderated a panel on Current Issues in National Security Space Operations at the 19th Annual Eileen Galloway Symposium on Critical Issues in Space Law. The Symposium, held at the Washington D.C. offices of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld on December 13, is presented annually by the International Institute of Space Law. The panel discussed alignment of DoD commercial space acquisition with commercial space regulatory processes, organizational updates about the U.S. and Japanese military space forces, and legal aspects of space-based security threats.
