Dr. Charles (Chuck) Barry is a Visiting Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for National Strategic Studies focused on NATO, European and transatlantic affairs. Since 1990 he has assisted senior US and NATO officials in developing three NATO Strategic Concepts and preparing for 14 NATO Summits. He is a retired combat infantryman and air cavalryman with service in Southeast Asia, Central America and Africa as well as Europe. He served five years as head of the Strategy Branch at USEUCOM. Dr. Barry graduated from Loyola University-Chicago and Western Kentucky University. He holds a DPA degree from the University of Baltimore.
