On 4 March, INSS China Center Director Dr. Phillip Saunders and INSS Senior Research Fellow Dr. Joel Wuthnow spoke about their co-authored book China’s Quest for Military Supremacy to an audience of 180 people at the Pentagon as part of the OSD Historical Office Speaker Series.

Both Dr. Wuthnow and Dr. Saunders have written books for NDU Press and articles in such journals as Journal of Strategic Studies, Joint Force Quarterly, China Quarterly, Journal of Contemporary China, and Foreign Policy. They co-authored their most recent book, China’s Quest for Military Supremacy, published by Polity Books earlier this year, on which the talk is based.
