On 19 March, at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, Dr Phillip Saunders presented his new book with Joel Wuthnow, "China’s Quest for Military Supremacy". He examined China’s pursuit of military supremacy and the constraints shaping the PLA’s evolution. Mr Drew Thompson, Senior Fellow at the RSIS | S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, joined as discussant. The event was chaired by Prof Chin-Hao Huang, Co-Director of the Centre on Asia and Globalisation.

On 19 March, INSS China Center's Dr. Phillip C. Saunders gave a talk on China’s Quest for Military Supremacy at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at National University of Singapore (NUS). About 45 people attended the talk, which was hosted by NUS Associate Professor of Political Science Dr. Chin-Hao Huang and featured Drew Thompson from the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) as a discussant.
